The Art of Storytelling

Well it's been a few months since my last posting.  I don't usually feel the need to post constantly.  I say what I need to say if I get feedback, awesome if not, oh well.  The topic of today is the art of storytelling.  As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, well you can also paint a picture with a thousand words.  You can create a scene and read to it three people then have those people  and have those same people paint or draw their interpretation and they will be different from each other.  An artist uses his imagination and his artistic talent to bring for an image to paint a scene that will spark the imagination in others.  An author is no different, his/her pen is the paintbrush, the notepaper is the canvas and the various words are the paint.  With these elements a story is created allowing the reader to delve deep into their imagination while enjoying a good story.  This is what inspires me the most.  I've spent so much of my time with my head in the clouds, why not pull it down long enough to tell others what I see.
